It’s a story of hope and faith – a dog that’s been missing for almost seven years has been found and rescued.
The lost pup was found wandering in a jungle in the village of Bhawra in Odisha, India. The dog, who had been missing since 2013, was spotted by a local resident who reported the sighting to authorities.
Upon hearing the news, Odisha Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services (OAHS) immediately initiated their search and rescue mission. After a few days of searching, they finally discovered the dog that had gone missing almost seven years prior.
The dog, which appeared to have survived in the wild for years on its own, was emaciated and had suffered severe sunburn and an abrasion on its neck. Despite its condition, the pup was still alert and responsive.
OAHS took the abandoned dog to the Bh sauce. k animal care hospital in capital city Bhubaneswar and named the pup Bhola. The hospital staff was able to nurse the pup back to good health.
Bhola’s story of surviving in the wild and ultimately being rescued has touched the hearts of animal lovers around the world. OAHS has since mobilized a search to reunite Bhola with his long-lost pet parents.
The resilience and determination of animals often astounds us. Some animals can survive against almost unimaginable odds. Bhola’s story is a testament to the indomitable spirit of animals everywhere and is a reminder that the hope for a reunion is never lost.
